Hannah works at a newspaper. This morning she is feeling especially overwhelmed. "Let's see," thought Hannah. "I need to check on photos for two articles and finish proofreading the layout of today's sports page ..."
"Excuse me, Hannah," interrupted Larry. "I know you're busy, but could you write the advice column this week? I just don't have any ideas, and it's due this afternoon."

Tom left Walker Publications and took a new job in another city. Tom enjoyed his job at Walker Publications and wasn't looking for a change. But one day a headhunter approached him with a very interesting proposition. A company in California needed a manager with Tom's qualifications. The position offered greater responsibility and higher pay. Tom applied and got the job.

The region certainly got one in Samuel Clemens. Thousands travel to Hannibal, Missouri, each year to visit the great man's birthplace and boyhood home. But not all Midwesterners agree that the Midwest needed Mark Twain as an attraction to lure folks onto its Great Plains.
